Energy Saver Overview

The Energy Saver appears on your TV screen when you haven't interacted with the remote control for a certain amount of time – usually 75 minutes if you're watching live TV, or 15 minutes if you're in a menu screen. The Energy Saver automatically puts the Set-Top Box (or Lite Box) to sleep to save electricity and bandwidth when no one is in front of the TV.

The Energy Saver does not appear when you are watching a DVR recording, Pay-Per-View event, or On Demand title.

When you see the Energy Saver notification, press any key on the remote control (except the volume keys or mute buttons) to reset the Energy Saver timer and keep the Set-Top box from going to sleep. When Energy Saver is about to trigger, you'll see a message in the upper-right corner of your screen:
